We collect your email and name via Google Sign-In to create your account. We process uploaded financial statements solely for your personal use.
Your data is used only to categorize and display your transactions within Stance. We do not sell your data.
What we send to AI: When you import a statement, Stance uses the Google Gemini API to parse it. Your uploaded statement (including visible content such as names, account numbers, and transaction details) is sent to Google Gemini so the AI can understand your statement's structure and extract your transactions accurately. This is necessary to provide the import feature.
Non-training: Your data is NOT used to train or improve Google's AI models. Google processes your statement data under their Gemini API data governance policy. Google retains data temporarily (up to 55 days) for safety and abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted. For full details, see Google's Gemini API Terms of Service.
What Stance does with your data: We store your imported transactions in your private, encrypted account. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal information. Your original statement files are stored securely and are only accessible to you.
We use Google Firebase for authentication and database services. For statement parsing we use the Google Gemini API, as described above. Your data is stored securely in Firebase and is subject to Google's security practices and privacy policies.
You can contact us to delete your account. This will delete all of your data, including transactions, accounts, categories, and uploaded statements, which will be permanently removed from our systems.
