We collect your email and name via Google Sign-In to create your account. We process uploaded financial statements solely for your personal use.
Your data is used only to categorize and display your transactions within Stance. We do not sell your data.
What we send to AI: Your uploaded statements and the transaction data in your account (including names, account numbers, amounts, and transaction details) are sent to third-party AI services Stance uses to parse statements, import transactions, and categorize them. Depending on the file type, settings, and processing step, that may include Google (Gemini) and/or Anthropic (Claude)—not necessarily the same provider for every step or every import.
How AI providers handle your data: Each vendor processes your data under its own terms, privacy policy, and API rules. Retention, logging, and permitted uses differ by provider—see, for example, Google's Gemini API terms and Anthropic's privacy policy. Stance does not use your data to train Stance-owned models.
What Stance does with your data: We store your imported transactions in your private, encrypted account. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal information. Your original statement files are stored securely and are only accessible to you.
We use Supabase for authentication, database, and storage. For statement parsing and transaction categorization we use third-party AI APIs as described above. Your data is stored securely and is subject to the relevant providers' security practices and privacy policies.
You can contact us to delete your account. This will delete all of your data, including transactions, accounts, categories, and uploaded statements, which will be permanently removed from our systems.
